Locale’s Project Managers, Daisy and Toni, have raised over £400 for charity by competing in a 10k obstacle course.

The two fitness-lovers took part in the gruelling Warrior Adrenaline Race at the weekend and managed to raise over £400 for Oxfordshire-based charity Yellow Submarine.

The award-winning charity aims to improve the lives of young adults with learning disabilities in and around Oxfordshire. They work to put youngsters into work placements and train them through their social enterprise projects. The charity also has a café in Oxford and offers recycling pick-ups for local businesses.

Daisy said raising money for a good cause made the course easier to stomach. She said: “The prospect of hurling ourselves over 10ft high walls and swimming through ice pools was made less daunting by the idea of raising sponsorship money while we trained. As our go-to place for coffee, business recycling and office catering, it provided another opportunity to help support local charity Yellow Submarine.”

The PM’s have been training for the event by attending weekly Regiment Fitness sessions.  The 10k event saw them crawling through mud , swim through freezing water and climb ropes and through tyres. We are incredibly proud of Daisy and Toni’s charitable (and sporting) achievement, £400 for charity is incredible, well done girls!
