On the 21st February, Locale were plunged into darkness. Prior to this, important decisions needed to be made, and the final options were neck-and-neck with votes; Molly’s Game, a biographical crime drama film, was pitted against Early Man, a stop-motion animation film about primitive Stone Age valley dwellers. On the 14th February, love was in the air here at the Locale Office. While Valentine’s Day is celebrated in most countries, different cultures have developed their own traditions for this festival. In some parts of the world Valentine’s Day is observed as a day for expressing love between family members and friends, some traditions include leaving lollies and gifts for children. Others include acts of appreciation between friends or in our case, our work colleagues.

We love an excuse to bake in the Locale office, and this time, it was for a good cause! The team participated in this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan has been encouraging people to host coffee mornings since 1990 to enjoy some treats and raise money to help ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
Louise has been working for Locale for just over four months as a Production Assistant and has been a great asset to the team. Louise attended The University of Reading and achieved a 1st class degree in joint Art and History of Art, as well as assisting in the curation of New Greenham Arts where she managed the layout and display of the exhibition.
