Locale, the UK's leading occupier experience platform, is one of the first UK real estate tech firms to be approved by the newly launched WiredScore Accredited Solutions.
Developed in response to a lack of clarity around how to implement technological solutions into buildings to create smart-enabled assets, Accredited Solutions are technology providers whose systems and solutions have been benchmarked against WiredScore’s certification standards, empowering them to work with landlords globally.
The accreditation enables Locale to partner with WiredScore’s global client base of building owners and landlords as they transition on a journey toward smarter and more innovative assets by becoming SmartScore certified.
Currently, Locale delivers digital solutions to across 80m sq ft of commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate; commercial real estate makes up 60% of its portfolio while residential real estate makes up 30%.
Guy Windsor-Lewis, Chief Executive and founder of Locale, commented: “We are thrilled to be one the first adopters of Accredited Solutions. As one of the pioneers of digital real estate solutions, we are constantly innovating our product and service offerings and recognise the importance of being transparent and agile in what we do; this will definitely aid adoption and play a pivotal role in helping the real estate sector better understand the array of solutions we offer.”
Stefan Schmidt, Head of Smart Buildings Technology, WiredScore, commented: “In order to deliver what is now expected from offices, whether that be a seamless digital experience, a superior wellness offering, or a demonstrably sustainable space, landlords and developers are under pressure to implement technology that enables these outcomes.
“Since we launched SmartScore in 2021, it’s become apparent that the real estate industry still requires an additional layer of guidance when it comes to the exact kind of technology that is required to deliver a truly smart building. We are confident that our catalogue of Accredited Solution providers will offer the assurance that the industry has been lacking.”
