Locale and team send their Christmas wishes to clients through a charitable donation to Yellow Submarine.

After what seems like a never-ending year that had more twists and turns than all the roller coasters at Alton Towers combined, we are finally able to see a light at the end of the tunnel with the introduction of a vaccine for COVID-19. A Christmas miracle some might say.

Despite such devastation to industries, businesses, and mental health across the UK, Locale is pleased to have come together to battle through the challenges and receive incredible support from new and existing clients who have used the Locale communication technology to unite their occupants, and combat isolation.

To thank all of those that have supported us, we decided to make a gift donation to Locale’s chosen charity Yellow Submarine, in place of sending Christmas cards.

Yellow Submarine is an award-winning Oxfordshire-based charity that supports those with learning disabilities and autism and prides itself on giving some of the most disadvantaged people in Oxfordshire confidence, independence, and a sense of self-worth.

Amongst the gifts were a number of items from their Amazon wishlist such as a mini oven, microphone, and webcam. Further to their wishlist, Locale will be donating their games tables, including foosball, pool, and ice hockey, to Yellow Submarine for their members to enjoy.

Kate Sankey, Co-Director at Yellow Submarine, is delighted to receive the gift donation to support the Yellow Submarine charity activities, she says,

“We’re really grateful to everyone at Locale for their continued support of Yellow Submarine; it’s been a particularly tough year for our members – and we’re doing all that we can to support them and reduce their isolation through things like online social clubs, Zoom quizzes and community walks. The gifts Locale have bought us this Christmas will be such a huge help, and will mean that we can continue offering our members a variety of support as we head into 2021 – thank you!”
