Locale, UK’s leading occupier experience platform, has appointed Lesley Roberts, Managing Director of Godwin’s Monogram Living business, as Chair of its advisory board.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Lesley has extensive high-level expertise with both the BTR and PRS sectors and has, for some time, been at the heart of shaping the UK’s Build to Rent sector as Chair of the Association for Rental Living (ARL). Prior to joining Monogram Living, she served as a Partner at Allsop LLP and CEO of Allsop Letting and Management, where she advised developers and institutional investors on the acquisition, design, build and operation of large-scale BTR portfolios.
A member of the British Property Federation’s (BPF) residential board, Lesley has toured internationally studying multifamily communities and was instrumental in the concept and creation of the ARL’s BTR Best Practice Guide launched in 2022. She was previously Chair of Soho Housing Association and held roles at Pinnacle Places, Young Group, and City Living London.
In the first cohort, three external advisors were appointed to provide advice and support to the Locale senior leadership team. They included: Adrian Allen, director at AJ Allen Associates and former director at MAPP and EPAM; Chenai Gondo, co-founder and chief operation officer of Hestia; and Olly Freedman, founder of Freedman Consultancy.
Lesley Roberts, Managing Director of Monogram Living and chair of Locale’s advisory board, commented: “PropTech is an exciting and ever-evolving aspect of real estate, rapidly becoming essential for the continuous enhancement of the environments where we live, work, and play.
“As a long-standing real estate practitioner, I am thrilled by technological innovation, diverse perspectives, and fresh approaches. The composition of the Locale board promises to deliver on all three. I look forward to supporting the business in creating even more impactful, industry-leading real estate solutions that elevate standards and improve the built environment.”
Guy Windsor-Lewis, Chief Executive and founder of Locale, added: “Lesley has been a long-standing friend of Locale; having known her for over a decade and followed her formidable career, she has been a committed believer of technology in real estate and her leadership and experience in our advisory board will be a gamechanger.
“Despite the challenging economic landscape, Locale continues to scale, and I have no doubt the advisory board, led by Lesley, will be instrumental in guiding us in our journey and continue to champion the long-lasting benefits of real estate technology.”
