What’s a misconception about your position?

A big misconception is that I spend all day scrolling through social media reposting cat memes and creating ads. In reality, I am writing, building and strategising meaningful content for our audience. I am a keeper of the Locale brand and strongly believe that marketing is about providing value to people when they need it.

What's an accomplishment you're really proud of?

I worked with two illustrators on a book of medieval short stories called The Witch’s Fire. I am currently writing a Victorian-era novel called Captain Hawthorn. It is adventurous, heart-breaking, and thrilling - and that’s just the writing of it!

How would you spend 30 minutes of free time?

No matter the weather, I’ll get my trusty gardening gloves on and head outside. There’s always something to do!

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Definitely an early bird. I’m the most productive and creative after waking up. I have my biggest burst of energy in the morning and then things mellow out after that (which is where a cuppa comes in).

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” With hope and determination, you can achieve more than you might think. Some things may take a bit of time but, with a bit of elbow grease, good things will come eventually.
