What’s a misconception about your position?
Some may think I simply swan around the office and frequent cafes and restaurants meeting people. In reality, I am balancing several hats all at once. I work closely with the senior leadership team ensuring our strategic priorities are on track, like to keep a close eye on the day-to-day operations of the business, act as a strategic liaison point for many clients and also head out to meet people from across the real estate and tech industries. It’s safe to say no day is the same!
What's an accomplishment you're really proud of?
I am particularly proud of the people here at Locale. Together, they have an incredible can-do attitude that has created a wonderful culture that I admire. It makes me feel good to see others fly.
How would you spend 30 minutes of free time?
I love long walks with my wife and dog along the river – never fails to put life and work in perspective plus spending time with family mostly involving playing or watching sport or food!
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
An early bird, absolutely. I make all my important decisions before midday because that’s when I function best.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
My Dad used to say, “work hard, play hard.” When I see something interesting, I chase it, and I love to learn from the experience. If you don’t try a thousand different things, you’ll always wonder, “what if?”
