Portland House deploys Locale's bespoke visual communications service

20 November 2022

Portland House, a newly refurbished Grade-A office and former head office of Newcastle Building Society extending to over five floors and 60,000 sq ft in Newcastle city centre, has incorporated Locale Look’s visual communications service.

Portland House
Designed with quality, productivity, sustainability and wellbeing at its core, Oliver Holland and James Keegan, the developers of the multimillion-pound renovation of the Grade-II listed building, have worked closely with Locale Look ahead of launch to create a tailored visual communications strategy which promotes the buildings amenities, its portal and excellent environmental and high-quality connectivity credentials.

Following a detailed consultation, Locale Look devised a bespoke three-step approach to the building’s visual communications from launch through to when the building is fully occupied. Each phase responds to different requirements ensuring the content strategy is relevant and vibrant.

Locale Look is a completely flexible and fully managed service, tailored to meet occupiers’ and buildings’ needs. Impactful and vibrant visual content via digital displays can help promote building facilities, events, or inform occupiers of building safety procedures.

Oliver Holland at Portland House, commented: “We are delighted to have worked with Locale Look to create beautiful content for our reception. During the marketing of Portland House Jo and Cass have developed a loop showcasing the building, the amenity offering, and our on-site team. As we welcome our first occupants in early 2023, we look forward to working together to deliver engaging and relevant information to tenants. This will include an introduction to our building app, bespoke offers and promotions, details of the facilities in the building and other notifications. This is a part of our desire to deliver a working environment that fosters community, wellbeing and productivity.”

Jo Morris, Director, Locale Look, added: “Seeing Locale Look come to fruition from just a concept has been so rewarding here at Portland House. Both Oliver and James brought us in early which helped us to both understand the ethos of the building and ensure the consultation was best suited to their needs. They have fully embraced the concept recognising that visual communications is another powerful way to communicate and engage with occupiers, ensure the building is performing to its full potential and fully maximise their bid to attracting and retaining occupiers.

“We were thrilled to see Portland House launch earlier this month and have no doubt that this will be a sought-after address for many in the heart of the city.”

All the digital signage was supplied and installed by Concept Signs.
